Cheryl Engstrom

I started painting with watercolors after my career retirement in 2019 and I can't stop. I don't describe myself as self-taught, instead I am everyone-taught from books, online tutorials and in person workshops. Watercolor is MAGICAL to me, I love seeing how the water and paint flow in unexpected ways there is a joy in sharing that with community. I sell my original paintings, I create print on demand products with my original art, and I teach beginner watercolor classes. I find joy in introducing watercolor to new people and seeing them experience their "wow" moments when they stand back and really see what they are capable of painting.

I wanted to find and meet other local creatives. I have found the guild to be full of inclusive, creative, uplifting, helpful people. Everyone is so open to sharing what they know and truly supporting and encouraging each other. It is an entire art community.
